From UMHC Hiking Guide
Aberfeldy is situated between Killin and Pitlochry, closer to the latter. It isn't too well-stocked with peaks that are walkable directly from the village, but is an easy drive from several nice places.
The two Corbetts which can easily be reached from Aberfeldy are Meall Tairneachan and Farragon Hill. These are to the north of the village and are quite close together. Each is a fairly un-dramatic hill covered with heather.
Slightly further afield to the west, the popular Munro Schiehallion can be found by a short drive. As Munros go, this is a fairly easy one to bag - there's a car park right at the bottom and a path most of the way up, although the summit is rocky and can be slippery.
Aberfeldy is also fairly close to the Ben Lawers range, discussed in the Killin page.
And if you like that sort of thing, there are nice forests nearby, and several trig points that can be bagged.

Accommodation
Glassie Farm Bunkhouse. This bunkhouse is very nicely done up - nicer than most youth hostels, in fact. You do need to bring a sleeping bag, or you can hire a duvet for £1. Its main disadvantage is that it's a long walk from Aberfeldy itself, along an unlit farm track. This aside, it's a great place, with excellent views.
Eating and Drinking
For going out in the evening, there is a small pub in the village of Weem, called (appropriately) "the Weem". This may be closed, however. In Aberfeldy itself there are several nice pubs.
As far as food goes, there are some shops in Aberfeldy, and it's only a short drive to Pitlochry for some bacon butties.
