Cornwall also offers good climbing on the granite cliffs, good pasties, beaches and sea to swim in.
Accommodation:
We stayed at Treveryn Farm, nr Sennen Cove. Price is £4.50 ppn and they accommodate groups well. The facilities are good - hot running water, washing-up area, toilets, free hot showers and a small shop stocking local produce. The campsite can be a bit windy though! Sennen Cove is about a 20min walk away along the coastal path. It has a good chippy and pub with good beer.
The bus stop is at the campsite, to get the bus to Penzance, Sennen, St Just and other villages in Western Cornwall. Bus service appears to be fairly regular and reliable. Penzance is easily reached by train from Manchester, though generally you need to change train somewhere en-route, the journey takes about 7-8hrs. Book early for cheap tickets!
