From UMHC Hiking Guide
There is a wealth of information on the pre-merger Manchester University Hiking Club (MUHC) website regarding the destinations of where we go hiking, and routes in the areas. These pages can be found at: http://www.umhc.org.uk/hikedests/
The primary idea of this wiki was to transfer this information into a format which can be both updated with more recent data, and expanded to cover new areas.

Points to consider when transferring pages
- Check they haven't been done before. A quick search should help determine that.
- All the images from the old site have been imported into the wiki already. These are listed under the same name as in the old site (e.g. ogwen4.jpg), which makes it easy to use them in new pages.
- The links at the bottom of the old pages need checking. You may find many of the links to other photos can be replaced with a link to the clubs own gallery.
- Links to maps might be more useful if they use OS Get-a-Map for hiking routes, and google maps for transport and locality information - rather than streetmap for both, see the Getting Started page for details of how to do it.
