From UMHC Hiking Guide

Travel to and from all weekend trips and holiday trips is usually by minibus. These are driven by club members who are willing to drive and the club owes them a huge debt - these trips would not happen if people did not volunteer to drive a bus full of hyperactive people and all their kit for many miles, often late at night.

However buses do come with tape players (unless it is a certain Union bus, in which case you need to pimp the bus with alternative stereo system) and the bus journey can become more fun for driver and passengers alike if some cracking tunes are playing. There are several perks to driving, such as picking up your kit from your house on Friday and having power of vito on the music.

Suggestions for bus journey music

On the Friday night: Gerard's Britpop mix

On the drive to the hill/crag/scramble: A cheesetastic selection of cheesy tunes which are more cheesy than Jon L's socks, more Britpop (Mr Capes is the Geezer to ask)

Sunday morning...hangover music: Belle and Sebastian

Sunday evening/the way home: 1812 Overture, The James Bond Soundtrack Album
