The Scottish Highlands are one of the most spectacular places for hiking in Britain, therefore the area is a firm favourite as a destination of club trips. Due to the long journey from Manchester, trips to the Highlands usually take place over several days during the undergraduate vacations. However we enjoy the Highlands so much we've run a weekend-long trip in November to the closer parts of the Highlands for a number of years.
