Do I need to be an experienced hiker?
No. People of all abilities are welcome at UMHC, and we cater for everyone, by planning routes of varying steepness, duration and length.
Do I have to study at UoM to join?
Anybody can join the society and buy tickets/membership. Non-students and students from other universities are as welcome as UoM students. However, student Membership is only available to UoM students.

Are hikes usually on Saturdays or Sundays?
Our day hikes are always on Sundays. We also run weekend trips roughly every 4 weeks.
When are Nethy tickets going on sale?
Nethy tickets will go on sake Late October/Early November.
How many people usually go on trips?
On day trips there are up to 50 people. Our weekend trips typically range from 25 to 40 people.
Where can I leave belongings on a Sunday hike?
Belongings can be left on the coach, as it waits for us until it is time to return. However, leave valuables at your own risk.
